Follow-up texts for people who go quiet

Somebody filled in your form or texted, then stopped answering. A day later, they get a short text asking what they need. One more goes out two days after that. The moment they reply, it stops.

How it works

What happens

The second someone gets in touch, they get a text confirming you saw it. If they go quiet, a short follow-up goes out a day later. It says something like "Hi, I wanted to check in. What can I help you with?" Another goes out two days after that. The moment they answer, it ends. Their reply lands on your phone like any other text.

Why it asks a question

A question gets answered more often than a nudge does. The answer is the part you need anyway. You call back already knowing what they want. So the call is a quote or a booking instead of twenty questions. Two or three messages is the whole thing. After that you'd be the annoying one.

What you have to do

Nothing until they answer. Then it's you and a customer texting, same as always.

The details

It reads like you wrote it

The messages are plain words in your voice, signed with your name. No "dear valued customer", no exclamation marks and no emoji you'd never use.

No texts at night

A follow-up that comes due at night waits until the morning.

It stops itself

A reply ends it. A booking ends it. A callback ends it. If you've already talked to them, they don't get chased.

Questions about follow-up texts

How many texts do they get?

Two follow-ups at most. One goes out a day after your last message and one two days after that. Then nothing more.

What if I've already called them?

Then the follow-ups stop. A call or a booking ends it.
